Happy Birthday Kirsten Leary! Kirsten has been a playing member with us since she was 14 and was a winner at the Glamorgan Drama Leagues “Glammies” for “Best Actress in a Supporting Role” for her role in “The Crucible”.

More recently, Kirsten was in our 2013 September production of “Doubt”

Annual Dinner

It’s that time of the year……no, not panto time, that comes later.

It’s our Annual Dinner time, a time when we dust off off our tuxedo and dig out the dinner dresses. The Annual Dinner is our most important time of year, why you ask? Well, it is a time when ALL our members can gather together, enjoy a nice meal and share some drinks. All the men get to pretend they are James Bond, and the Ladies their Bond Girls.

There is also the matter of handing out Long Service Medals for our members who have been with us for many years and the Chair’s Address to the theatre, looking back on the last 12 months whilst announcing what the future holds.

This year we have music and entertainment to follow all the formality of Awards and Speeches. Provided by Bill Bennett – a local Dean Martin impersonator.

So, those of you who are coming, don’t forget it’s this Friday 29th November…………we’ll see you there.

A day in the life of…

We will soon be starting a series of blog posts from members of the society. This series, you might have guessed will be titled “A day in the life of…” and will follow a member around on a typical, theatre related day.

The first in this series shall come from our Poster and Programme designer – Gareth Rees
