Tickets Selling Fast!

OtherPeoples-Poster2Briton Ferry Little Theatre invites you come and watch their latest production, Other People’s
Money – a play that paints a colourful picture of the cut-throat world of business.

Other People’s Money centres on the intended hostile takeover of a Rhode Island family business in the 1980s. When New England Wire and Cable, a business that provides employment for a town full of people, is targeted by Larry the Liquidator, a corporate raider who wants to rip apart the company and sell it off, the peaceful lives of those involved are interrupted. Andrew Jorgenson, the President of the company, wants to keep his father’s business alive. Beatrice, his secretary, wants to help Jorgenson. And William Coles, the company president, wants to ensure his future position at the company. They call upon Kate, Beatrice’s daughter who is a lawyer on Wall Street, to help them defend themselves.

What follows is a game where both predator and prey pull out all the stops to get result they want. Both funny and serious, it’s “the best game in the world”.

Other People’s Money looks at the harsh reality of business, the importance of family and loyalty and the blurred line between wrong and right.

Entertaining from beginning to end, it has some of the funniest lines you will ever hear, lots of emotion and plenty of doughnuts.

It’s the ultimate seduction.

Tickets Selling Well

So far we have sold 76 tickets for our upcoming production of “Puss In Boots“.

This may not sound like a lot, however, this side of the new year is typically a lot slower. So based on previous years, we are currently selling faster than we have ever done before.

On that note, I’d suggest you click right here and buy your tickets now, to ensure yourselves to best seats in the house. After all, it’s only three weeks until curtain up!

………………….Oh yes it is!

Annual Dinner

It’s that time of the year……no, not panto time, that comes later.

It’s our Annual Dinner time, a time when we dust off off our tuxedo and dig out the dinner dresses. The Annual Dinner is our most important time of year, why you ask? Well, it is a time when ALL our members can gather together, enjoy a nice meal and share some drinks. All the men get to pretend they are James Bond, and the Ladies their Bond Girls.

There is also the matter of handing out Long Service Medals for our members who have been with us for many years and the Chair’s Address to the theatre, looking back on the last 12 months whilst announcing what the future holds.

This year we have music and entertainment to follow all the formality of Awards and Speeches. Provided by Bill Bennett – a local Dean Martin impersonator.

So, those of you who are coming, don’t forget it’s this Friday 29th November…………we’ll see you there.
